Publish Organic Content
Publish Content
Overview
The Publish section is the heart of content creation and distribution in MarketBeam. It allows you to compose posts for company pages and employee advocacy, manage drafts, schedule content, submit for review, and request likes or reshares on existing social posts.
The page uses tabs to display content status: Published, Scheduled, Ready for Scheduling, Pending, and Draft. Use the tabs to find posts based on where they are in the publication workflow.
Create a post
Choose a template
- From the Publish page, click Create Post. A list of templates appears (e.g., Company & Employees Post, Company & Employees Post – Submit for Review).
- Select Company & Employees Post to create a post that does not require review. Select the Submit for Review version if your organisation uses an approval workflow; this template includes a Notes for Reviewer field.
Compose content
After selecting a template, the composer opens with multiple sections:
- Networks: At the top are icons for LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram. Enable or disable the platforms you want to publish to by clicking their icons.
- Link & Title: Add a URL in the Link field and optionally a Title. These fields generate link previews (e.g., for LinkedIn).
- Attachments: Use icons to add images, videos, PDFs or locations. Upload media from your computer; the first image appears in the preview.
- Publish to Company Pages: Each enabled network shows a text area for composing the message that will appear on the company page. Character limits are indicated below each box.
- Employee Amplification: Toggle Enable Employee Amplification to craft a separate message for employees to share. The employee message encourages personalised shares and includes its own character limit.
- Content Type and Topics: Choose a content type (e.g., blog, news, event) and add topics to help organise your content.
- Schedule or Publish:
- Save Draft: Saves your work without publishing. The post appears under the Draft tab.
- Schedule: Opens a date and time picker to schedule the post; scheduled posts appear in the Scheduled tab.
- Post Now: Immediately publishes to selected networks and employee channels.
- Submit for Approval: In the review template, the Post Now button is replaced by Submit for Approval. Add Notes for Reviewer then click Submit. The post moves to the Pending tab for reviewers to approve.
Manage posts in the list view
The publish list shows posts in a table with columns for Scheduled for date, Post preview, Company Pages, Employees, Content Type, and Action. Use these tools:
- Tabs: Switch between Published, Scheduled, Ready for Scheduling, Pending, and Draft to see posts at each stage. Each tab displays a badge with the number of posts.
- Search: Use the search bar at the top to filter posts by title.
- Grid/Calendar View: Click the calendar icon (next to the search bar) to switch between list and calendar view. The calendar view shows posts on a monthly grid.
- Row Actions: Click the three‑bar menu under the Action column to Download, Edit, or Delete a post. Options vary by status; for example, draft posts can be edited or deleted.
- Bulk Actions: Select multiple posts using the checkboxes. Buttons such as Submit for Approval and Delete appear above the list[6]. Use them to perform actions on multiple drafts or scheduled posts.
Reshare or Like company posts
The Reshare or Like feature encourages employees to amplify existing company social posts.
- On the Publish page, click the Reshare and Like button. A separate page opens titled “Launch Reshare or Like”.
- Choose the company LinkedIn page from the dropdown (e.g., MarketBeam), then click Fetch latest Posts.
- MarketBeam displays recent posts from your LinkedIn company page. Each card shows the post preview and icons for like, comment, and share counts.
- Click Click to see the original Post on a card to view the post on LinkedIn in a new tab.
- To request employees to like or reshare, select one or more cards and follow the prompts to send notifications or emails asking employees to engage. Employees receive one‑click actions to like or reshare the post.
Content status definitions
- Draft: Posts saved but not scheduled or submitted. You can edit, schedule, or delete drafts.
- Ready for Scheduling: Posts created by employees awaiting scheduling by administrators.
- Scheduled: Posts scheduled for future publication. You can reschedule or delete before posting.
- Pending: Posts submitted for review. A reviewer must approve before publishing. Once approved, they move to Scheduled or Published depending on the publication time.
- Published: Posts already published on their respective networks.
Best practices
- Use the search bar and status tabs to quickly locate posts.
- Always preview your post before publishing, especially when adding media.
- For employee amplification, craft a separate message that encourages personal sharing while staying on brand.
- Schedule posts at optimal times for your audience; use the calendar view to avoid content overload on the same day.
- Encourage employees to like or reshare company posts regularly via the Reshare or Like feature to increase reach.
